Updraft

Dry what your towel can't.

Scroll

You're not as dry as you think.

Everyone knows the feeling. You towel off, get dressed, and five minutes later — you're not dry. The places your towel can't reach stay damp, uncomfortable, and breeding bacteria. You've dealt with it your entire life because there was never a solution. Until now.

Towels can't finish the job.

After every shower, every workout, every pool day — moisture gets trapped in places a towel simply can't reach. That means discomfort, irritation, and problems nobody talks about.

Residual moisture

Skin folds and recessed areas trap moisture that towels physically cannot reach. You think you're dry. You're not.

Discomfort & irritation

Damp skin under clothing leads to friction, chafing, and that unshakeable sticky feeling that follows you around all day.

Bacterial & fungal growth

Warm, dark, damp — the perfect environment for bacteria and fungal infections. Prevention starts with proper drying.

I got tired of the workaround.

For years, I did what a lot of people do — I used makeshift fans aimed upward to try to dry the places my towel couldn't reach. Box fans on the floor. Utility fans propped at weird angles. It worked, kind of. But none of them were designed for this. The airflow was too spread out, the angle was never right, and I was standing over a piece of equipment that was meant to cool a garage — not dry a human being.

At some point I stopped and asked the obvious question: why doesn't this product exist? A simple, purpose-built appliance that sits on the floor and directs concentrated airflow exactly where you need it. No heat. No chemicals. No awkward contortions with a towel. Just stand over it and let the air do what air does best — evaporate moisture.

So I built it. Updraft is the appliance I spent years wishing someone would make. A compact, freestanding dryer with a tapered body that concentrates a wide intake of ambient air into a focused upward draft through a precision diffuser. It's engineered to do one thing, and do it well — dry the parts of your body that your towel leaves behind.

— Eric Bridges, Inventor

Three steps. Total dryness.

Updraft is designed to be the last step in your routine. Towel off first, then let concentrated airflow do what cotton can't.

1

Towel off

Dry yourself like you normally would. Updraft handles the moisture your towel leaves behind.

2

Stand over

Straddle the Updraft with one foot on each side. The nozzle sits right where you need it.

3

Feel the draft

Concentrated upward airflow dries everything in seconds. As moisture evaporates, your skin cools naturally — leaving you dry, refreshed, and comfortable.

It doesn't just dry. It cools.

When moving air meets damp skin, moisture evaporates — and evaporation naturally cools the surface. That's not a feature we engineered. That's physics. Updraft uses ambient air with zero added heat, so the drying process itself creates a cooling relief sensation across your skin. If you're someone who sweats immediately after a shower — your body still running hot, the bathroom still full of steam — Updraft's cool draft helps bring your skin temperature down so you stop sweating faster. You step off feeling dry, refreshed, and genuinely comfortable. It's the part nobody expects — and the part everyone remembers.

Stand over. Dry under.

Straddle the Updraft after toweling off. Concentrated upward airflow through the diffuser targets the areas your towel can't reach. No bending, no reaching, no balancing on one foot. Just stand naturally and let the draft do the work.

Start your day actually dry. If you're someone who sweats right after showering — especially in warm climates — Updraft's cool airflow helps your body stop sweating faster so you stay dry once you're dressed.

After a workout

Cool down and dry off completely before you change. No more pulling clothes over damp skin.

After the pool

Kids and adults — dry completely in seconds before tracking water through the house.

Mobility-friendly

No bending. No reaching. No balancing on one foot with a towel. Just stand naturally.

Put it wherever you get ready.

Updraft is a freestanding floor appliance. No installation, no plumbing, no permanent mounting. Plug it in, set it down, and it's ready. It fits anywhere people need to dry off.

What's inside.

Real engineering, not marketing gimmicks. Every component serves the airflow.

High-performance blower

Powerful concentrated airflow that dries in seconds. Not a gentle breeze — a real draft.

Tapered air concentrator

Four-sided taper funnels wide intake airflow into a focused, concentrated upward draft.

Precision diffuser

Engineered outlet nozzle directs airflow exactly where it's needed. No wasted air.

You've tried the workarounds.

There's never been a real solution — until now. Here's how the usual options stack up.

Towels

Towels do most of the work, but they leave hard-to-reach areas damp. Skin folds, inner thighs, and recessed areas stay moist no matter how thorough you are. And a wet towel pressed against skin just moves moisture around — it doesn't remove it.

Gets you 90% dry

Body Powder

Powders absorb surface moisture temporarily, but they don't actually dry you. They create a paste when mixed with sweat, make a mess in your bathroom, and some contain ingredients you probably don't want near sensitive skin every day.

Masks the problem

Updraft

Purpose-built to finish what your towel started. Concentrated upward airflow targets the exact areas that stay damp — no chemicals, no residue, no mess. Cool ambient air evaporates moisture in seconds and leaves your skin with a natural cooling relief sensation. Stand over it and walk away completely dry.

Actually solves it

Everything you're wondering.

Is it loud?

Three speeds. Low is a whisper. High is about the same as a hair dryer.

Does it use heat?

No. Ambient air only. As moisture evaporates off your skin, it naturally cools — so it actually feels refreshing. Safe for the whole family.

Do I have to install it?

No. It sits on the floor. Plug it in and go. No mounting, no plumbing, no tools.

Is it safe for kids?

Yes. No heat, no exposed blades, no moving parts you can touch. Just air.

How big is it?

Compact floor footprint — smaller than a bathroom trash can. Tucks beside your vanity, next to your dresser, in a closet corner, or by the shower without getting in the way.

I sweat right after I shower. Will this help?

This is one of the biggest reasons Updraft exists. The cool airflow helps bring your skin temperature down so your body stops sweating faster. Especially effective in warm climates and humid bathrooms.

How much will it cost?
